    Apprenticeships & Training

Network Rail is on a mission – a mission to give the country the railway it needs and deserves. And we need young men and women aged 17-19 to help us achieve it.
Do you fancy a career in an exciting and ever-changing industry? If you would like to join our Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme, have a look at what we’re offering:

    Earn while you learn

The three-year scheme is a superb opportunity to earn while you learn engineering-based skills. At the end of the scheme, you’ll be a qualified Maintenance Engineering Technician, helping us to keep the rail network moving.

    Leaving home

You’ll also have a lot of fun on the scheme. The first year involves residential training in Gosport near Portsmouth. So it’s a great chance to move away from home, live with up to 250 other young people, and enjoy some outstanding sports and social facilities.

    What we need

We’re looking for young men and women aged 17-19 with at least four GCSEs (by September 2006) at grades A-C including English, Maths and Science (or in Scotland, standard grades 1-3).
